The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence poses a question that resonates in our hearts: Will this technology, with its incredible potential, end up replacing most of our jobs? Or, worse yet, have we transformed it into such an indispensable tool for achieving our goals that we risk neglecting our own ability to think and decide in many of our daily tasks?
It’s undeniable that technology has become a fundamental guide in more than half of our lives. However, there is something essential within us, something that a machine, no matter how sophisticated, will never be able to replicate: that wonderful ability to feel with others, to create new worlds with our imagination, to vibrate with emotions, and so many other qualities that make us profoundly human. These are precisely the skills that shine in essential professions such as medicine, education, and caregiving. However, it is true that areas such as finance could face a different landscape, where the efficiency of AI could mean a major change.
However, we discovered that AI has arrived to be a transformative force, an ally that drives us to improve our effectiveness in certain work environments. Now it’s up to us, as human beings, to learn to dance with this technology, to turn it into an extension of our own capabilities to optimize and enhance our skills even in different fields.
Let’s think for a moment, for example, about medicine: AI can offer us more accurate diagnoses for complex diseases and pave the way for innovative treatments. In education, it can enrich our students’ learning, allowing them to experience future scenarios through simulations. And so we could continue to discover countless ways in which understanding, using, and integrating AI into our daily work can bring about a more promising future full of possibilities.
